Wellness Weekend Getaway at the Iconic Arizona Biltmore

A Weekend at AZB

As much as we all desire (and sometimes require) a two-week-long retreat or escaping off to a hidden oasis, it’s not always possible or practical. But taking time for yourself, getting outside of your normal routine, and experiencing a new setting is so important for our well-being. So consider this your sign to take a little weekend getaway!

I recently spent a wellness weekend at the iconic and incredible Arizona Biltmore. It was the perfect weekend to feel inspired, immersed and rested. This resort is something special and I need to share why…

Arriving at Arizona Biltmore immediately sets the tone for your stay - unique design (with help from the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright), tranquil desert foliage, and welcoming staff. The vibes are calming and cool, yet exciting.

The Rooms

With a variety of rooms and suites, Arizona Biltmore is perfect for any size group (and family-friendly!). We got to stay in one of the beautiful cottages on property. These cozy cottages are complete with an outdoor fire pit and lounge area, living area, luscious bed, and bathroom. They’re also ideally located next to the adults-only pool, where we spent a good amount of our time. We were obsessed with our space and highly recommend it to anyone looking to book.

The Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden

I have to get straight to the standout of this entire resort - The Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden. This place is pure MAGIC. Recently renovated, the spa at Arizona Biltmore is a true wellness sanctuary. It has…

A Well Bar with delicious tonics, cocktails & mocktails, nutritious food, and more

Hot and Cold Plunge for contrast therapy - my true love. I am obsessed, and felt so spoiled getting to go back and forth between the two

A Sol Garden to rest, relax, and soak up the sun complete with lounge chairs, outdoor showers, shade, and misters

A meditation station in the garden for breathwork and meditative moments

Salt Room Halotherapy to help with immunity, allergies, inflammation, skin conditions, and more

Incredible holistic treatments like crystal massage therapy, mud wraps, cryo and thermal facials, and more

Monthly wellness events like Sol Sunday with meditation, breathwork, journaling, delicious food, and the Moon Bath Rituals

The Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden truly focus on mind, body, and spirit. It creates a connection with the elements and draws in dynamic recovery principles. Unlike most spas I’ve been to (and I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I have been to A LOT), this place has the most expansive and grounding treatment selection I have ever seen. I wanted to move right in.

The Restaurants

You can’t have a good resort without good food. And let me tell ya, we ate WELL at Arizona Biltmore. On our first night, we went to the incredible Renata’s Hearth. This place had the best ambiance and even better food. We even joked with the waiter that the wagyu brisket was “good enough to make a pescatarian eat meat.” Okay, not entirely a joke because this “pescatarian” did indeed eat meat and it was worth it (sorry vegans). You need to try this wagyu brisket, and while you’re at it get the…

Peruvian Rice

Yellowtail Ceviche

Patatas Bravas

Tijuana Caesar

And end it all with the coconut tres leches - melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness.

If you’re up for it, finish off with a dirty martini at The Wright Bar and you have the perfect nightcap. The Wright Bar is another iconic dining and drinking spot at the Biltmore. This bar oozes cool, old school vibes and is quite a hot spot on the weekends.

The Spire Bar is another popular spot for locals and guests alike. Enjoy chill Arizona evenings, cozy fire-pits, and mountain views.

Other amazing amenities

The gym

The gym at Arizona Biltmore is one of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever been to (and like the spa, I’ve been to a lot). The indoor-outdoor space has pretty much any piece of equipment for any type of workout. If you’re looking for a good sweat sesh during your stay, it is worth a visit.

And if you want to play the fastest-growing sport in the world, they’ve got it. Next to the gym, you’ll find pickleball and tennis courts for match play or a friendly game.

The Citrus Club

Our flight got in bright and early on the morning of our arrival, and while our room wasn’t available yet, we were able to enjoy the lovely Citrus Club before checking in and throughout our entire stay. It’s a special spot to enjoy a good book, a delicious drink, breakfast, lunch, or a lite bite during your stay.

The Pools

AZB has quite the collection of pools. We spent much of our time at the adults-only pool, enjoying a cooling cabana with dreamy poolside food and drinks. But if it’s your thing, don’t forget to stop by the epic waterslide on the other side of the resort.

Experiences

One of the really special things about AZB in my opinion is the amount of classes and experiences they offer for guests and locals. We did a cocktails and canvas class that left us feeling calm and creative. They have something for everyone.

We had the dreamiest weekend soaking up the desert sun, recharging in nature, sleeping deeply, embracing the in-between moments by slowing down, staying present, and limiting distractions. AZB was the perfect place to do this. Take time for yourself this summer with a little weekend getaway. Those tiny spaces in time can sometimes be the most impactful, and it’s hard to appreciate them when you’re running a million miles an hour in the real world. Thank you, Arizona Biltmore!
